Cookie Policy

Effective date: 3 October 2026 · Last updated: 3 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains cookies, browser storage and related technologies that may be involved when you visit deprogma.com. It also describes the current custom sections, which do not set their own cookies or install advertising trackers.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website or its service provider places on a device through a browser. Cookies can help a site remember a preference, maintain a session or recognize activity across requests. Some remain only until the browser session ends; others can persist for a stated period or until deleted.

Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, tags and device identifiers. They do not all work in the same way, but privacy rules may treat them similarly when they store or access information on a device. This policy uses “technologies” to cover those mechanisms as well as cookies.

2. Scope of this policy

This policy applies to deprogma.com and should be read alongside the Privacy Policy available in the footer. It explains what the custom website sections do and the additional technologies that may be operated by the Shopify platform, theme or installed applications.

The actual technologies on a live store depend on its configuration and can change when an application, analytics service, advertising integration or platform feature is enabled. A category described here is not a claim that every technology in that category is currently active. The relevant provider’s current information and the store’s privacy controls should identify technologies that require a visitor choice.

3. The custom DEPROGMA sections

The supplied DEPROGMA sections use JavaScript to open and close the navigation, animate elements into view, move buttons slightly with a pointer, change the visible review and validate the inquiry form. Those features operate in the current page and do not require the section code to set a cookie or write to local storage or session storage.

The selected review and the open or closed state of the menu are not saved between visits by these sections. The local inquiry form holds its current values in page memory to validate the fields and display an acknowledgement. Its button does not send those entries to DEPROGMA or store them in a cookie. Browser autofill may remember information under your own browser settings; that is separate from the custom section behavior.

4. Essential platform technologies

Shopify and its infrastructure may use technologies needed to deliver pages, maintain security, prevent abuse, manage relevant sessions or remember a privacy choice. Depending on the active features, essential technologies can support functions that you specifically request. Preventing all such technologies may affect access or stop part of a website from operating.

Essential status depends on the actual purpose and the applicable law. A technology is not automatically essential merely because a platform or application can install it. The current store configuration should be reviewed to separate strictly necessary functions from optional analytics, personalization and advertising.

5. Preferences and functionality

Functional technologies can remember choices such as language, region or another setting. They can make a later visit more convenient, but may not be necessary to deliver a basic page. Whether these technologies require consent depends on their purpose and the law that applies to the visitor.

The DEPROGMA custom sections do not introduce a preference cookie of their own. If Shopify, a theme or another app saves preferences, its operation is governed by the enabled feature and applicable privacy controls. Blocking or deleting preference storage may mean you need to make the same selection again.

6. Analytics and performance measurement

Optional analytics can help a website operator understand visits, page performance or use of particular features. Such tools may process browser information, event data, identifiers or general location information. Their scope varies significantly between products and configurations.

No separate analytics pixel is included in the custom DEPROGMA section code. Analytics supplied by the hosting platform, active theme or additional apps must be assessed separately. Where consent is legally required, an optional analytics technology should not run before a valid choice has been made, and withdrawing that choice should prevent future optional collection to the extent the integrated control supports it.

7. Advertising and cross-site activity

Advertising technologies can measure a campaign, select an advertisement or associate activity across websites or services. Depending on the applicable law, these activities may be described as targeted advertising, a sale or sharing of personal information, even where money is not exchanged for a record.

The custom DEPROGMA sections do not include advertising pixels. If advertising integrations or Shopify Network Intelligence are enabled at the store level, their data practices need to be disclosed and the appropriate consent or opt-out controls provided. An inquiry or use of a learning service does not itself amount to permission for optional advertising technologies.

8. Shopify privacy controls

Shopify provides customer privacy settings and a cookie banner that can be configured for the regions and features relevant to the store. Where a banner or preferences control is displayed, use it to accept or decline the available optional categories. A consent control is effective only for technologies properly integrated with it; an independently installed script may require additional configuration.

Closing a notice, navigating to another section or continuing to scroll should not be treated as valid consent where an affirmative choice is required. It should be possible to change a choice through the available preference controls or by contacting DEPROGMA for assistance. A policy page alone is not a substitute for the actual technical controls required by law.

9. External fonts and content delivery

The design uses the Chakra Petch and Barlow typefaces requested from Google Fonts. When the browser retrieves the font stylesheet or font files, it makes a network request to the provider and may transmit technical information such as the requesting IP address and browser request details. A network request is not necessarily a cookie, but it is relevant to understanding the services involved in displaying the page.

After the website assets are installed, images and logos are delivered through Shopify’s file infrastructure. Content delivery services can process request and security information to return those files. There are no embedded social media feeds, map widgets or advertising videos in the supplied section package.

10. Browser controls and signals

Most browsers allow you to view stored site data, block some or all cookies, remove existing cookies or use a private browsing session. The exact settings differ by browser. Use the browser’s own help menu for current instructions. Blocking all storage can prevent a privacy preference from being remembered, so a notice may appear again.

Some browsers can send a Global Privacy Control or similar signal. Where a signal creates a legally enforceable opt-out right and the relevant platform feature supports it, the store and its integrations must honor the required choice. Do Not Track settings are not implemented consistently across providers and should not be assumed to block every form of tracking. Available privacy controls should be used as well.

11. Duration, deletion and shared devices

Session technologies generally expire when a browser session ends, while persistent technologies remain until their defined expiry or until removed. A provider may change a name or duration when a feature is updated. An exact cookie inventory therefore needs to be based on the live store configuration rather than a generic list.

Deleting cookies does not necessarily delete information already received by a provider or a business. If you want to exercise a separate access or deletion right, follow the Privacy Policy. On a shared device, review browser autofill and saved information before leaving the session. You can also close the page to end the current in-memory form state.

12. Changes, questions and assistance

This policy carries the update date shown at the top. It should be reviewed when the form delivery method, theme, app list, platform privacy settings, fonts or tracking integrations change. If new optional technologies are introduced, any required disclosure and visitor choice must be available before their use.

For help understanding a technology on the site or a question about a privacy preference, contact DEPROGMA. Describe the browser, the page and the issue without sending passwords or private device information. The Privacy Policy explains how to make a request about personal information.
